About the Councillor
Cde Sengerai Manyanga is a disciplined public servant, organiser and revolutionary leader serving the people of Ward 10, the City of Masvingo and Masvingo Province at large.
Elected Ward 10 Councillor in 2018, Cde Manyanga has chaired the Public Works and Planning Committee and served as Vice Chairman of both the Audit and Human Resources Committees of the City of Masvingo — overseeing service delivery, fiscal accountability and institutional development at a critical period in the city's growth.
His political work spans more than two decades within ZANU PF, rising from Ward Youth Chairman in 2004 to Provincial Political Commissar of the Youth League, and culminating in his current role as Provincial Chairman of the Children of Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association (CZLWVA) — a custodian of the revolutionary legacy bequeathed by Zimbabwe's gallant sons and daughters.
Alongside elected office, Cde Manyanga has served the Republic through the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Culture, as Patron of the Junior Council of the City of Masvingo, as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board of Masvingo Polytechnic College, and as a board member of the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Culture.
His leadership is anchored on Pan-Africanism, inclusive governance, youth empowerment, economic independence and the unshakable conviction that Zimbabwe Shall Never Be A Colony Again.
